 The paintings of Kevin Shea reflect love for outdoor life and the visual drama of the land and sea.
Canvases comprise scenes of his New England home, and the Gulf Coast of Florida, where he also teaches
Painting Workshops.  Tuscany is a second home for Shea where he trained and taught in Florence,
later returning on painting sojourns, and in recent years to conduct "Tuscany Painting Adventures"
with students. His paintings have been displayed nationally with the American
Artists Professional League and the Salmagundi Club.
 
Kevin Shea  art work has been contracted by Warner Brothers for the Epic – “Mystic River”,
and his classic "Twilight in the City" was a visual theme for the Boston PopsHe has been
 featured in the New York Times and on CNN, and he shows with several Galleries.

Shea has focussed on over the years.  His
paintings feature city streets and gardens,
colorful cafes, coastal views with sailboats,
sunsets, and lighthouse paintings.  With
decades of experience as an artist selling to
art collectors Shea has gained an intuitive
knowledge of what peole are drawn to in art.

Fine Art Limited Edition Prints:  Kevin Shea's most
enduring images have been reproduced as limited
edition prints and giclee prints, on canvas and paper,
signed and numbered by the artist.  They include
Boston's Fenway Park, Red Sox gameday scenes of
Yawkey Way, Boston Public Garden in spring, summer
and winter, and paintings of the streets of Boston.  
Sailboats are featured in coastal paintings with sea
roses and other flowers along the picturesque 
beaches of New England's shoreline. 
Limited editions, and canvas giclees of Tuscany

Kevin Shea brings a wealth of knowledge to his

popular Plein Air Painting Workshops and

Tuscany Painting Adventures.

 

Subjects include landscape, seascape, and

ciy or village paintings with emphasis on design,

color and drawing to interpret outdoor subjects

and atmosphere.  Painting instruction is offered

in a setting for the painting novice or professonal

to feel comfortable working at their own pace.  

An encouraging process has been pivotal in

the lives of many workshop and painting 

adventure participants.
